We exist to improve the quality of life for Westside Atlanta Residents

Help us provide quality childcare, affordable housing, and economic stability to our under-served communities.

“West Atlanta Community Outreach has supported my family through the most difficult times we’ve ever faced.”

Our Mission

Marcus T. Watkins is the Founder of West Community Outreach a GA based 501c3 non-profit organization born out of the historic Simpson St Church of Christ, Atlanta, GA.

We know that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Our christian organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, hence the decision was ultimately made to launch WACO.

Our team

As a Minister, Evangelist Watkins has led churches to exponential growth in Evansville, IN, Hartford, CT and now Atlanta, GA. Being raised in the small town of Rogersville, AL, to a single parent mom, Marcus learned the value of hard work early on. His passion to help has always been his calling and he lives his life by the motto: “To whom much is given, much is required”.

Upon coming to Atlanta in 2018, Minister Watkins saw and understood the need; especially on the Westside of the city. His vision has allowed him to tap into some of the most profound resources Atlanta has to offer. His collaborative efforts have led to prosperous relationships with; Chic-Fil-A, Clark Atlanta University (Football Program), Quest Communities, YMCA of Greater Atlanta and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.

Minister Watkins gained his B.S. in Business Management from Western Governors University, and is currently pursuing his MBA.

As a disabled, Iraqi War Veteran of the United States Air Force, Marcus, is committed to supporting urban community and economic development that serves as a catalyst for change, especially for veterans living with a disability.
